Pedestrian Session

It is another pedestrian session that has tried to find its footing, but it never had a chance heading into the end of the second month of the year. The S&P 500 hit a brick wall at a key resistance of 5,066.

Mid Cap’s are taking the baton this week, seeing amazing action.

Three Fed speakers spoke today. They all agreed we are still far from reaching the 2% inflation target.

FED'S WILLIAMS: WILL WATCH DATA TO DRIVE DECISION OVER CUTTING RATES

BOSTIC: STILL WORK TO DO ON INFLATION, HAVEN'T DECLARED VICTORY

FED'S COLLINS: MORE TIME IS NEEDED TO DISCERN IF THE ECONOMY IS SUSTAINABLY ON A PATH TO PRICE STABILITY

Real Estate (XLRE) is having a solid session, as is Consumer Discretionary (XLY).

Let’s see how the session ends.  There are a lot of expectations from PCE data and more Fed Speakers tomorrow.
