Lull before the Storm

There just isn’t much going on right now with the market after two premier big banks posted results before the open with mixed reactions.   There are trends this week worth nothing.

Utilities continue to find buyers and outperform the rest of the market, perhaps a reflection of mounting anxiety.  

This sector is the perfect place to hide out for investors looking to minimize risk, but remain in the stock market.  The big movers today enjoy big dividend yields:

Retailers have dragged consumer discretionary lower this week.
